Ronnie Long, imprisoned for decades for a murder he’s always insisted he did not commit, has been granted parole and is out of prison – for the first time in more than 35 years!
Long used his prison learning the law and mentoring young inmates. Over the years, he filed thousands of motions and appeals in his own case, and on behalf of scores of fellow prisoners. Due to his work, some had their sentences cut, and were even released. He repeatedly told reporters, “This jailhouse lawyer can free everyone but himself.”
